Perfect Gym MP3 Player

(5 out of 5) by ErinLynn on Nov 13, 2009 (NY, NY)
I have a fancy 30G iPod that I love, but it's not "gym friendly." I just wanted something to listen to at the gym, small, light and if I drop it, I won't freak out that I just broke a $300 iPod! I love it! It's prefect. The AAA battery is perfect because I can just keep it in my gym bag without having to worry about remembering to hook it up to the computer to charge. I love that you can change the color of the display screen, but maybe I'm just easily ammused! FYI, it has a hook for a lanyard, but doesn't come with one. I was amazed at how great it is for being so inexpensive. Great buy!!

Great Little Player!

(5 out of 5) by Eric on Oct 23, 2009 (Deltona, FL)
I recently got this little gem and have had a great time with it. I have been jogging with it daily this week and the sound quality is great. I loaded about 50 MP3s and they all sound wonderful, and it was almost too easy to get the music on the player. I mainly bought this because I like listening to the radio so the FM player was my main reason for buying it. So far everything is working great and it sounds great. I only used the headphones once that came with this player, I need the type that can wrap around your ear for jogging. I don't think you could do much better for 15.99.

For simple needs

(3 out of 5) by Paul F on Sep 5, 2009 (Michigan, USA)
PROs:
1. small
2. FM radio with presets
3. powered by 1 AAA battery, easily accessed
4. backlight color can be changed
5. USB connectivity, can be opened to folder view.
6. comes with hook and string

CONs:
1. clicks of buttons are a touch loud -- and busts your style!
2. deletion of multiple files/folders must be done on your computer
3. display font is not as pictured
4. FM radio reception is poor indoors

This player is best used with simple needs in mind -- load your music and play it in order. Albums, when kept in folders, are navigated easily enough. Coby suggests using Windows Media Player for syncing, but the device can also be opened to folder view and folders can be dragged into the device. Mass deletion of files (as well as direct loading of albums as folders) can be done only when you open the device this way, but Coby won't tell you that.

After 7 months of light use, this device is still working without problems.

AA++ product

(5 out of 5) by Michelle M. Moody on Aug 20, 2009 (Flint Michigan)
the only down side is, it is a little difficult to get it to start playing when you switch from 1 folder 2 another..... if you just put all music in 1 folder it easy... :) for the price i'd buy it again, no doubt about it.... I did buy different earphones for it tho. it came with ones that were NOT padded, and were bigger than the new 1's that i bought...! even so I totally love it

Satisfactory

(4 out of 5) by J. D. Chancellor on Aug 10, 2009 (USA)
I am very satisfied with this mp3 player. Although I didn't give it 5 stars for a few reasons. (Although in consideration to the price, it does deserve 5 stars). It tends to shut off if bumped, which I believe is because the battery is a little loose. I placed a piece of paper in it (to keep the battery steady), and it very rarely shuts off now when bumped. Invested in rechargeable batteries, so I never have any problems there. I say i get over 10 hours of playtime with them, haven't bothered to measure for certain. Also, it seems as though it randomly gets quieter with some songs. I can't really confirm this or not, but I've noticed it a few times. I turn the volume up on a song, and it's quite quiet. sometimes with the same song I have to turn it down. Might just be me. The only other thing that bothers me is song switching. You can only go song to song, you can't switch folders. Kind of annoying.

Like I said, it deserves 5 stars just for it being as useful as it is (good sound, doubles as a jump drive, and very cheap). I didn't give it that for the few problems above. Good buy though, I'd suggest it to anybody looking for a MP3 player.
