Winning its "Case"

(5 out of 5) by Glenn P. Gutierrez on Mar 25, 2008
Initially, I purchased the Sony LCS-SRC case for my HDR-SR 7. A great camcorder case for when you're on the go but you don't want to carry all your accessories.

But how about when I need all the accessories? I have the following items that I need for the HDR-SR 7: Camcorder Light
HVL-10NH, Sony BCG-34HRMF4 Charger, 4 Sony AA Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries, extra Camcorder battery, HDMI cable, Component cable, and the Camera's Power Adapter.

Well, the LCS-X30 was the solution for me. For less money than the LCS-SRC, I could fit everything I listed above into the LCS-X30! Not to mention I was able to also fit my Sony Cybershot DSC T7 and its charger! All items fit snugly and are very well organized within the parameters of the case. Of course, the bag is bulkier than the LCS-SRC, but it gets the job done if you want to transport accessories.

I figure I'll be using the case for when I know I'll be traveling or away for a while. I still think the LCS-SRC is a great case. But if you need to bring several accessories along with your camera, go with the LCS-X30.

A good buy

A tad big if you only want to use it for the camcorder only, perfect when you want to take the accessories with you.

Sony LCS-X30 Soft Carrying Case

(5 out of 5) by C. M. Logan on Aug 13, 2008 (Sacramento, CA USA)
The Sony LCS-X30 Soft Carrying Case is quality vs. quantity - it's more expensive than other similar camera cases, but it's like comparing generic luggage with "Samsonite" luggage. This case is made with heavy duty material and stitching. The interior area is well cushioned and has adjustable storage walls. Either a larger camera or digital camcorder will fit nicely. Also, there is ample storage pockets around the outside walls. Best Buy sells it for $39.95.

Bigger than indicated in product description.

(3 out of 5) by K. Crookshank on Jul 13, 2009
I was disappointed when this bag arrived because it was not the size that had been indicated in the product review. I was expecting a bag that was 8.7" X 4.7" X 1.2" but it ended up being 11" X 6.5" X 4.5" which was much larger than I had wanted. I decided to keep the bag, though, since we were leaving for Hawaii and didn't have time to return it and get another before we left. So I ended up just using the bag for my purse as well as camera case on the trip and it actually worked out great. Just beware that it's on the big side.

Well designed, spacious camcorder case

(5 out of 5) by mommy916 on Oct 4, 2008 (Sacramento, CA USA)
I was originally looking to buy a compact-sized carrying case for my HDR-SR11. The Sony LCS-X30 case turned out to be a great choice for my needs. The design is simple and functional with a spacious main compartment where I keep my camcorder and docking station. The 4 side pockets allow me to store cords, extra battery, ac adapter, and miscellaneous camera supplies. I would recommend this carrying case for anyone who wants to keep all of their camcorder gear in one place while traveling.
