Pretty much everyone lost all there digital equiptment. I had three surge protectors that burnt up and still ruined my devices(1 was a cheaper, lower joule powersquid), but the Calamari saved my 4500 dollar tv, HD-DVD Player and 2000 dollar sound system. It did quit working but who cares. Love you powersquid, well worth the money and now I have a Calamari on every device in my house and so do most of my neighbors. Besides this it is so easy to use. Saved me thousands!
(5 out of 5) by June Wall on Dec 12, 2007 (Los Alamos, NM USA)I had this little gadget in our RV with most of my electronics plugged in--Acer tablet, I-pod, GPS, PDA, cell phone. We had an unexpected power surge which killed a TV and a microwave. All of the items plugged into my Power Squid were unscathed. The Squid died protecting the other items. Having to buy a new one is a small price to pay for the protection it provided my electronic equipment!
