Great Product

(5 out of 5) by Rich on Nov 8, 2009 (Helena, MT)
I'm completley satisified with these speakers. I connected them to my 23" Samsung HD-TV (which had terrible sound) and now it sounds very good. I also like the jack on the side allowing me to plug in my computer at the same time it is connected to the TV.

I could not be happier with this purchase. These speakers rock!

Great little speakers

(4 out of 5) by G. Stephens on Nov 2, 2009 (Sacramento, CA)
First let me say that I am not a audiophile. Having said that I really like these little speakers. As I type I'm listening to online music. If you want booming bass these speakers will not rock your world but the bass is adequate for my needs which is simply listening to music in the background as I work on my PC or watching online videos. If you turn up the volume then the bass kicks in but even then it will not shake the walls. There is only a single tone control knob with no separate treble, bass and balance controls which is why I gave it three stars in the features category. In reading the reviews some mentioned humming was a problem. When I first started to use them there was definite and annoying hum. But I simply twisted the plug coming from the PC where it plugs into the speakers and the hum went away and has not returned. They are perfectly silent when on with no audio source or in between songs so those that experienced this problem may have had a cable and/or connection problem. I'm not a gamer so I don't know how they sound while playing games.

Pros: Good price. Good sound quality. Small footprint on desk. Look good.
Cons: No separate bass, treble, and balance controls. Bass could be stronger.

Bottom Line: While these speakers won't come anywhere close to matching the sound quality of a good surround sound system they are great little PC speakers for the price if your purpose is to have background music or watch online videos.

Excellent Speakers

(5 out of 5) by Tough Customer on Oct 29, 2009 (Torrance, CA United States)
I have upgraded my review of these speakers because I discovered that I was using them wrong. They have a bass port on top, so they should not be placed directly beneath a shelf, as I was doing, because the bass will be muffled. If you let these babies out into the free air so they can breathe, they will demonstrate their excellent bass response. Sorry for the earlier erroneous review, in which I gave these speakers only 4 stars. They deserve top marks for the money.

Excellent performance for the money

A perfect partner for my new Acer Aspire One Netbook. Great sound, not too bulky, inexpensive.
