Creative Inspire T10

(5 out of 5) by J. Mehlenbacher on Jul 22, 2008
Wanted extra speaker to extend my HTPC into another room (ran 1/8" cord through heater duct and down in the basement); speakers are nice looking, crisp sound and were exactly what I wanted and paid for. I have a nice set of creative i-trique 2.1 hooked up to the HTPC in the living room and together they sound great.

Nice, but lacking bottom

(3 out of 5) by SanMan on Jun 29, 2009 (San Diego, CA USA)
I think these speakers are passable, in that they take up little space, and are sleekly, blackly elegant if that's to your taste. However, compared to name brand 2.1 systems of 1/2 the t10's cost, they have very little bass, and none of it deep. That said, the mids and highs are pretty good, and you CAN increase bass if you're willing to put one of these on the floor (thus sacrificing one channel of mid/highs--at ear level that is).
Bottom line, if you really can't afford the space of a third box (subwoofer) somewhere on the floor, the T10's will provide decent, clean high-fi sound minus bass with minimal physical intrusion. If you're fussy about sound, though, (and I am NOT a fan of exaggerated bass--I prefer accurate reproduction), you'll prefer a system with a subwoofer.

Poor quality

(1 out of 5) by Bethany on Feb 8, 2009 (California, USA)
First set of speakers worked great for about 10 hours. The next day they wouldn't power up. Ordered a replacement set, and after a few hours of use these failed too. They just stopped (no power at all) while I was watching a movie on my computer.

Obviously there is a design or manufacturing flaw with these speakers. Too bad, they look great and sound good. I will not buy Creative speakers again.

Worst Creative speakers ever

(1 out of 5) by Horace Frydman on Oct 3, 2008 (Sherman Oaks, CA USA)
Don't waste your money on these speakers. They start out okay then develop a very bad hum which remains even when the you turn off the speakers. When the hum starts it continues for awhile then its gone only to return again later. I replaced them with my Bose speakers and all is fine. I will write this off as an experience well learned and Creative should stick to sound cards and keep away from speakers as they are not experts in this field, just trying to make more money. ) 0 stars

Would have been great, if it worked.

The Creative Labs speakers were a great size, and I bought them based on the 4 star reviews here. Out of the box, however, they were a problem. As in -- one speaker did not work. Creative Labs Customer Service is MIA, and there's just no help to be had or even remorse. Fortunately, Amazon took them back. I'll never buy another CL product.
