Stylish and Great Functional Speakers

(5 out of 5) by J. Knightly on Sep 4, 2008 (Pennsylvania)
If your budget is around $50- you'd be hard-pressed to find other speakers that have half the look or sound of these babies. I was surprised by their size and elegance when I took them out of the box. They're very stylish and look amazing on my desk. As for sound, I am very happy with their performance. It was strange- When I turned on some music at a moderate volume and left the room, I could still here the music very clearly from the kitchen, even though the speakers were pointed against the opposite wall. You can hear the music very well, even when they face away from you. They seem almost omni-directional, it's really cool. Great bass, great mids, can definitely blast- Great speakers!!!

Nice, very nice

Brought these for $32 at Circuit City to replace my old static ridden speakers. You know, for $32, I figured they were so-so el-cheapo speakers. I am no music expert, but to me, they sound great from low to high volume. I like the look, sort of old school, with big easy to get at controls knobs. I mean I hear things (not it's not the drugs), that I didn't hear before in my music. They might not be the Rolls Royce of the speaker world, but they're close. Now the only static I get is from my daughter yelling, "dad, would you turn it down." Kids.

Speakers Are Just What I Was Looking For

(5 out of 5) by J. Carroll on Aug 10, 2008 (Pleasant Valley, New York United States)
The speakers were purchased to compliment a new laptop for our son who is off to college. They are just what I was looking for. Not too expensive, not too large as they will fit on a small dorm desk. The sound they produce is full of nice, quality tone levels. Again, very adequate for a dorm room or a smaller area and I would recommend them.

Pretty good for the money.

The Creative T10 speaker system has reasonably good sound out of a fairly simple, compact 2.0 speaker system. Volume is pretty good for the size. The only flaws I found with these speakers were a somewhat poor signal-to-noise ratio (sometimes had a noticeable hiss at moderate volume when no sound was playing or between songs), and that the speaker with the amplifier/transformer in it has a very low hum (not produced by the speaker itself but rather the transformer in it.) It's not nearly loud enough to bother most people, many probably wouldn't even notice, but if noises bother you, it's something to consider. Overall they're pretty good for the price.

very interesting sounding speakers

I have not bought this speakers yet
but every time I stop by electric store, I always try out this pair speakers with my audio player (actually, it's PDA with mobile internet)
sound is very interesting to me.....it has good but no "box sound" bass, mid is nice, high can be adjusted to taste
my ears are pretty sensitive to sound quality, it may be at the store, but I tested this pair with the one with 2-3x price, and I still prefer this pair
and there's a plus...another input from right side of right speaker (but no select switch), a lady heard I played internet radio from PDA to this speakers and she bought it right away, she said the sound is pretty good
