UPDATE - DROP TO 1 STAR BUT IT WILL NOT LET ME CHANGE

Below is an updated review after this product almost caused a fire in my house! I left my original post at bottom. Amazon will not let me change the # of Stars.
Well, my one year review of this power adapter gave it 5 stars. It is now between the 18th and 19th month and my review is now dropping to one star. About an hour ago while the computer was in use there was all of a sudden a sizzling sound and light flashing with a burning smell. It was the the cord from the block to the wall burning up. After yanking the plug out of the wall (at least trying to, the cable broke in half and left a part dangling from the outlet) and turning off the breaker, I investigated and the cable from the block to the wall is intermittently melted and the main failure seems to be where that cable plugs in to the block. The fact that nothing was being moved when this happened leads me to believe that it over heated and melted the insulation. Now that everything is exposed, I am amazed at how thin the wires are. Well, I am going to go look up the Consumer Products Safety Commission website now. Guess I should have paid the [..] from Toshiba. BTW, it is up to [..] now from them. May just buy a new laptop.

After having the cable get frayed on the original power adapter for my Toshiba Sattelite I searched for the a second source that would not cost me the [..] that Toshiba wanted. I have had this for close to a year now and it continues to work out great. It does get just a little bit hotter than the original did.
Note: To save the need for replacing these, do not cause a sharp bend in the cable where it enters the block when wrapping up the cord to store it. That is what caused the initial failure on mine.

The product was received with Lightning speed and works Great

The price for a substitute adapter was great, it was delivered in no time and works great till now. I was able to revive the old laptop and make best out of it.

I was hesitant to order one online from a company other than Toshiba, but the other reviewer seemed pleased, so I went ahead and ordered this one.
It arrived very quickly and was packaged well. I've only had it plugged in for an afternoon, but it's doing what it's supposed to! My laptop is functioning perfectly. :)
So far, so good - and a great deal.
I was hesitant to order one online from a company other than Toshiba, but the other reviewer seemed pleased, so I went ahead and ordered this one.
