Nicely done

Found this on sale at Fry's for 25 bucks -- so it was a "must have" at that price.

After having a very negative experience with a similar Panasonic product that Windows could never recognize, this proved a breeze.

The setup files are already in flash memory and simply connecting the device gives you access to the software installation.

Very easy to use; instructions are actually readable.

Only problem I had was that their "before you begin" instructions are misleading.

You must "unlock" the device before any other actions can be taken. And their instructions there are incomplete.

When you first press the "menu" button you will see a "locked" message. You are told to press it again for 3 seconds to unlock the device. The locked icon disappears, but there is no "unlocked" icon.

Still no button press will work until now you press the "play" button.

Now and only now does the actual "Menu" options appear for time and other settings configurations.

PS: if you want to save a lot of files to disk and not eat up a ton of drive space -- you better have a .wav to .mp3 converter -- as .wav is the only Windows format these .voc files can be converted to from the installed software.
