A very good MP3 player

(5 out of 5) by Avid Reader on Jun 15, 2008 (Il USA)
I use this as a customized audio entertainment device. With the knowledge of how to create separate folders for different genres of
music and various podcast categories, I can select from jazz, classical,
rock, etc. music; As well as poetry, science fiction, mysteries, current
events and a myriad of podcasted topics to suit my mood or pleasure.
The Muvo V100 2GB gets good mileage on one AAA battery. Its convenient because I can instantly replace a spent battery without having to recharge a built in battery (you could also use rechargeable AAAs if you
wanted to). I don't know how it compares to iPod because I've never used or wanted one. The device is a little larger than a 5 stick package of gum so its tedious to have to change the controls but with patience and care, it works just fine. They come in various colors and the one that I have is white. (I can't vouch for other Creative products since I had a Zen Nano that died for no apparent
reason)

Where's the loop?

I have a Creative Muvo 1GB mp3 player which I absolutely love. I thought I would buy this 2GB version so I could keep the original one loaded with all my favorites and use this one to expand on my listening options for when I take my daily walk. It works exactly as the 1GB version did, which is to say very nicely. Has a lot of options which you can customize to your liking and is very easy to operate. Operates on one AAA battery which lasts several weeks for me and I use mine daily. One drawback, and this definitely surprised me, the new 2GB eliminated the built in loop at the top from which you could use a lanyard to hang the device around your neck while out walking. Seems like a small change but an unnecessary one to me. Outside of that small deletion, I would wholeheartedly recommend this mp3 player.

Easy to operate, time-consuming to find something

First of all, I ordered this, but received instead a 1GB pink, which was annoying. I was told something was coded wrong in the system, to cause that.

The annoyance everyone finds, is that if you have numerous songs of 2-5 minutes each, and want to find a specific one, you must click one at a time until you reach the one you want (but this is usually the case with all MP3's, I think).

I think Pink is a nice color, to differentiate different ones you have (I have similar Creative 2GB's in other colors).

Advice: If you plan to save much music or especially audio books, get something with at least 8 GB; that will save you money. But if you just want to dedicate your MP3 to something specific, or a specific group, this is great.

Worked great for me

I had an ipod and hated it. There was too much interface, too much to deal with. I like the simplicity of this mp3 player and that it can function as a jump drive. It's very simple to add or delete music to it, and simple to use. I had no problems at all with it until it started skipping around randomly. That wouldn't be such a problem if I were listening to music, but I was listening to audio books. So I do recommend this for a simple mp3 player.

Simple

I received this as Christmas gift from my husband. It is very easy to use. I have tons of music on here and I don't think I can ever fill it up completely.

The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because setting up separate folders is a bit challenging. And the software with it doesn't explain very well in my opinion.

And what girl doesn't love PINK!
