waste of money

(1 out of 5) by Broc J. Ungaro on May 26, 2009 (IL, USA)
I have ordered this type of item before and it worked great until I lost it. So I ordered 2 more. these are not worth the materials they are made of. Both do not wolk correctly. you have to pull eth 3.5MM male out until you can hear from both head phones. This was true with differnt head phones and devices. This was the same for both items. do not waste your money on this product search for another.

Works great with Env2

(5 out of 5) by PS3 Man on Aug 17, 2008
Cell phone headphones are hard to come by. If you go through headphones like me you don't want to keep buying ones because you lose them or they break. With this adapter you can use your favorite 3.5mm earphones that you use for your MP3 player. Everyone always has standard headphones around their house so buy this inexpensive adapter.

Does what it suppose to do.

(5 out of 5) by W. Lu on Oct 1, 2009
A lot of people are giving this product a poor rating/review and I just want to make some clarifications. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this adapter. I ordered one and is working great. A lot of issues have to due with sound output, and it is of no fault of the adapter but of the person's lack of knowledge for their audio device (phones,mp3 players and etc). Go on Google find what's compatible with YOUR device, check to see if your device uses a 3 ring or a 2 ring (this adapter has 3 rings). Giving this product a poor rating because you bought a 3 ring adapter for a 2 ring device is no fault of the product, but of your own. The only set-back is perhaps the price- 5 dollars shipping? A grand total of $7 dollars. The adapter didn't even come in a plastic bag or box, it sat loosely in the post office envelope.

No go for Env3

(1 out of 5) by James Hoffmann on Aug 28, 2009
If you have an Env3, as I do, do not purchase this item. It only works in the left earphone, and that is if you fiddle around with it and get lucky. Otherwise, it doesn't work at all. Also, if you partially unplug the 3.5mm end from the adapter, you may or may not get stereo sound (both earphones), but the sound is extremely tinny and hollow sounding. Do not purchase this item.

Does NOT work for Motorola W233 Renew

(1 out of 5) by The Voice of Common Sense on May 23, 2009 (Mobile, AL USA)
This product does not work with the Motorola W233 Renew.
When the jack is correctly inserted, the phone does not recognise it and continues to use the built-in speaker.
You can pull the jack out half a millimeter or so to sometimes get a signal to the cable but even a slight movement can cause this to be lost.

No-one should have to be more specific than "2.5mm male to 3.5mm female stereo jack 3 ring" in order to get a product that works. It is not only ridiculous but also insulting that I have no guarantee something as simple as a headphone jack will work with a supposedly compatible phone.

How much more specific do I need to be and how much more research is involved in buying a $1.50 product? I'd love to know.
