What I needed for my LG Lotus

(5 out of 5) by P. Varga on Dec 6, 2008
As the title mentions, this is the correct cable to connect regular, non-headset 3.5mm headphones to an LG Lotus (LX600). Solid connectors, thin/flexible cable, functional but nothing fancy.

Not for LG env2

(1 out of 5) by Sam Crawford on Jan 29, 2009
I ordered this item based on another review that stated it worked for the LG env2. It does not work. The contacts are too wide, so the adapter will only give you the left channel when used with the env2. I tried three separate headphones, it was definitely the adapter. It might work for something else, I don't know.

Its quite possible that the previous reviews were given a different adapter since it seems generic.

Also, I was charged $5 for shipping, but on the envelope it stated $0.48. I guess the "handling" part of shipping and handling is getting to be quite expensive. =/

Cheating

(1 out of 5) by D. Kha on Jan 13, 2009 (Boston, MA USA)
This is another product that you will be cheated on. It says that is 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo jack but in actuality it is 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm one. The price listed is low and the shipping cost is high. So there is no incentive for you to return it back. By the way, I checked the actual shipping cost and it was 49 cents which is 10 times lower what the seller posts. That's cheating on naive consumers like me. Be careful when you buy it.

Fourth time is a charm

(3 out of 5) by Itsmeagain! on May 4, 2008 (Nobamaburg)
I got this adaptor from Radio Shack for my daughter's Sanyo Katana phone. Every time she bent the cord slightly it would crackle, so I took it back and tried a second one. The same thing happened. Then I went to Target and got a different style, a retractable one made by Just Wireless. It listed a number of phone brands on the front of the package, including Sanyo, and the package stated it was for stereo earphones. But the sound only came through one earphone, so I took it back. I was out shopping and went by a different Radio Shack and thought I would give these one more try. This one works just fine. Even though it works I only give it 3 stars because there is an obvious quality control problem, and the flexible part is not of the same quality of any earphone cable and it is going to go bad after some amount of flexing. NOTE: To get stereo sound you need the adaptor with 3 rings (like this one), there are similar looking adaptors with 2 rings, they will only give sound through one earphone, when used with the Sanyo Katana anyway.
