little Jewel
Best camera I have ever seen for the price. At 7 Mpix the pictures are sharp and clear as a bell. The camera is easy to use and hold with my big hands. The menu is logical and easy to follow. It has more features of any camera under $200 that I have seen.
The variable timer is easy to set and use. The flash flashes twice in red eye mode to eliminate the red eye effect. There are 5 flash features and off. The LCD is sharp and clear with a square in center for aiming. There are indicator icons around the edges depending on options set... There are more options than I am familiar with.
It uses two AA batteries with an indicator of charge. You can use rechargeables and the camera has a power setting for the different battery types.
The camera does video and sound recordings. It has a SD slot that is easy to get to. I bought a 2 GIG for my camera. Many many pictures... You can set the pixel density of pictures to increase or decrease picture quality. There is 16MB internal memory. When the SD card is in all pictures automatically go to card.
The camera has a 3X zoom plus a 4X electronic zoom. This give a total zoom of 12X, works great...
The picture editor can recenter and crop the picture. Really neat feature... Also you can set the Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) for printing and the number of copies. I have never seen this feature on a camera before...
Plus you can use your own picture when the camera boots up. Neat but not necessary. Also, It has a burst shutter select. You can take continuous pics without using the snap button... The snap button is a different shape than the other buttons and is easy to find without looking... Half down previews pic, full down take picture...
There are more features than I have mentioned. This is a truly remarkable camera. It is well made and solid as a rock. It fits in my shirt pocket, neat.. The camera comes with a USB cable, nice case, two AA batteries (good ones).
Also, a CD with a picture editor and a carry strap... Plus a cable that will plug the camera into a TV set so you can play your videos... Never seen that before...
Power consumption seems no worse than most cameras this size. I haven't had it long enough for a reliability check but I believe that won't be an issue... Instruction book is very well done and easy to read... The camera is not a camera for kids. It is much too complex. For a gadgeteer like me it is super...
This camera is a keeper!!!

Acceptable
I bought 6 of these at a very low price to distribute to others. They all work fine. The photos are acceptably sharp. I would not want to hang on to this camera for myself. The casing is cheaper than other 7.1's that go for around $100. There is a disappointing delay between pushing the button and the camera actually taking the picture. The battery/sd card latch is flimsy and will eventually break. I have had fuji's, nikon's, canon's, samsung's, hp's, kodak's. All fare better than the norcent except an inexpensive samsung, which is about the same. The reason this was a good deal was the very low price with the free sd card.

Nice Price, Good Camera for light
Pros:
-7mp
-Low Price
-Small Size
-Big LCD
-The 'Food' setting is fantastic. Why bother with a mirror when you can just take a picture of yourself with the food setting and see every little detail of your face (I was able to see individual hairs with this setting). Very impressive.
-As it turns out, this camera takes very flash pictures and daylight pictures.
Cons:
-Horrible photos without flash (or in dark areas)
-'Okay' zoom
-Horrible focus, especially at micro level (ideal focus seems to happen just before ultimate level)
-No viewfinder screen (LCD must be on)
-No wheel
-Non-flash pictures useless without tripod (unless at lowest exposure time, but then the picture is too dark).
-Should have a camera stabilization feature so it can take good pictures without a tripod
Overall:
My Canon PowerShot A520 takes much better pictures at only 4mp. This is good for flash/daylight pictures and maybe videos, but not much more. If it had a real stabilization feature, took quicker pictures and maybe a viewfinder, this would be a really good camera. As it stands it is an okay camera and a good digital camera (for the value) for those who just want to take snapshots at their child's soccer game.

great camera
Great camera..the only thing I had a problem with was the memory cards. I tried a Kingston 1gb and Transcend 4gb and didnt work. I tried a Sandisk 2gb it worked. Camera is easy to use and has a lot of features.

Great product
This is a great camera for someone who only wants to take pics for their own enjoyment. If I was a pro I don't think this would the camera of choice. For me I just wanted I could take to birthday parties, golfing, etc., and wouldn't be scared if I lost it or broke it. With that said, it still takes great pictures easily. Good camera and good price thanks amazon.
