I was leery about using a non-Dell battery in my Inspiron 1501 but was really turned off by Dell's prices. This battery works perfectly with my computer. I cannot comment as to battery life as I rarely use it over half an hour unplugged but my meter still shows about 90% capacity left over that time. A comparable original Dell battery would have cost at least twice what this one did and I am very glad I bought it.

Fits snugly. No issues with charging and charge lasts around 3-4 hours with moderate to high use. Quick delivery (regular mail option used). Not sure of the battery life(years & number of charges) in longer run though. Overall seems a good deal as original part is close to twice the price of this one.

This worked perfect and the seller got this out ASAP!! Battery life was like 4 or 5 hours!!

Contrary to the product details, I found out the hard way that this battery does not work with the Dell Inspiron E1505.

After installing it, I received the following error: "Warning: The model number for the primary battery cannot be determined. This will prevent any battery present from charging. Please insert a Dell Battery for the best system optimization."

I had to return the battery after waiting 1 1/2 weeks to get it. Do not order for Inspiron E1505, but it may work well for the other systems - I can only comment for the E1505.

New battery was half the store price. After a friend commented on how expensive his new store bought battery was, this was the only way to go.
