works like a charm
(5 out of 5) by G. Diaz on Feb 25, 2009 (Belize)After I saw americansoldier say his gamble paid off, I tried a gamble of my own. I bought this little beauty and it worked just fine. I did note, however, and it is of no fault of this equipment, that the laptop I bought had linux OS and it was a bit tricky to get the setup disk to load but it worked out. When I connected it to my desktop I didnt even need to load the disk it went right ahead and worked with Windows. I'm happy.

Excellent for the cost.

Barnes Jr. on Jan 27, 2009 (Drayton, ND United States)I'm not sure why so many people have posted such negative reviews for this CD-Rom, I pulled it straight from the box and plugged it in to my Acer Aspire One and it was recognized right away. I've used it now for about a week off and on, with no problems what-so-ever.
The only things I would mention are that the instructions have not been translated into English very well, and that the drivers for the CD-ROM are included on, thats right you guessed it, a mini CD. Stop and think about that one for a moment, it's sure to be a head scratcher.
Luckily both of these were non-issues in my case, as once the drive was plugged in it was recognized right away on a machine running XP Home, SP3.
Definitely worth it for the money.

No good

save your money!

Great product for Asus Eee PC

So far just loaded a couple of progams with no problems. Comes with all the cables needed for the Asus. I also tried it on my dell laptop and again it worked without a hitch. Running Windows XP Home edition. For the price you can't go wrong
