A great mp3 player

Not the friendliest MP3 Player

This is a nice little lightweight unit (although no beltclip, holder, strap or anything else) that has a standard USB interface for recharging and for file manipulation. It does NOT include any playlist capability which really detracts from the unit. It also has text storage - why would someone want to use this to read text? Not real thrilled with the FM receiver - kinda sucks. Controls tend to lock up. But I bought it to listen to music - which is not BAD, but it is a shame to have all the bells and whistles in places I don't want. Definitely overpriced at $50 - maybe $30.

falls short way short
(1 out of 5) by G. hatfield on Feb 27, 2009 (tonopah, nv United States)don't bother getting this unless you just want something for your kid to play with. i bought it for my wife and it doesn't sort the music at all so it is always on random play and you have to scroll through your music one by one. navigation is poor and it freezes up all the time (to reset it you have to hold down menu and volume). the video quality is good as long as you get it in the right format and the built in speaker is nice but there are a lot better players out there if it is intended to be used everyday get a better mp3 player.
Excellent Product

Lots of functions and an excellent product. Only thing that could be better is the controls could be a little more intuituve. Otherwise great.
Excellent value for the money

I purchase two, One for a 12 year old and one for my wife neither of which is very technical. I loaded the software, loaded some songs and played with the movie conversion utility.
The only thing I have to say is that several reviews had talked about the menu system being a little difficult to navigate and I would have to agree until you learn it. It's just playing a musical instrument for the first time but once you know where the notes are it's a lot easier. To sum it up: Great Value for the Money.
