NES Controller

(5 out of 5) by A. Wallace on Dec 1, 2008
This product is exactly what I was looking for! The original NES controller built for the computer. Even though my old NES doesn't work, I can still play the games like I used to on my NES Emulator with this controller! Awesome. Plus is shipped fast and wasn't too bad with pricing!

Very nostalgic.

This thing is great. It is an exact replica of the old school NES controller. The plug and play feature is a plus too. No software or driver installation- it makes for a quick and easy play. Also, to save you the time of researching a good emulator: Check out 8bitlinks.com or google JNES emulator. It is ideal for this gamepad and the setup is dummy-proof. Great product, five stars all around.

My prefered choice for 8-bit

I play games on the PC now a days and sometimes find, that these games often have rather awkward controls, or include a key that if you press repeatedly too fast, then you activate the "Sticky Keys" message (in Windows Vista).

This controller is perfect, and I am able to respond a lot quicker in the game, than just using the keyboard and number pad alone.

The greatest thing ever created

Life was good when Nintendo came out. The world was simple and so were Video game graphics and controls. One joystick and two buttons.

Now I can truly play Excite Bike the way it was meant to be played. Yes, the square shape can cause your hand to get sore at times(your body adapts after a few uses), but that makes me feel like I am REALLY playing Nintendo. The buttons are high quality and the joystick is just the way I remember it. I was able to use this on Linux no issues.(not that most people care, but I have 100% abandoned Windows so this was important to me)
