good value, but a slow and laggy

(3 out of 5) by Terence Tan on Jun 23, 2009 (Austin, Tx, United States)
Used on a nikon d700, this compact flash card is noticeably slower than the sandisk extreme 2, 3, or 4 cards.

I cannot tell the difference in speed comparing the sandisk cards amongst themselves, but this kingston card is noticeably slower in terms of browing the card using the camera for taken images. If I had known that this card is so laggy, I would not have gotten it, and paid the little extra.

Not so fast on my 40d

(3 out of 5) by Bryan Decker on Jun 19, 2009 (Salem, OR USA)
I bought this card this year (2009) and it has been a stable card, but has one flaw for me. The read/write speeds are much slower than I have experienced with other cards. It has not yet interfered with my photography, but I was a little let down because of it. I have formatted it in camera regularly, but still seems slower than other cards. I am using a Canon 40D with it.

Works great on 5d Mk II video

(5 out of 5) by Christian Herrera on May 29, 2009
Works great for Raw Images. The camera Buffer fills up before you notice any slowdown from the card. Also, you need a pretty fast card if you plan on recording video at it's full resolution. This cards works great. Once in a while I do get the warning that the card buffer is filling up. It gives you a bar on the left with five increments. Usually only the first one fills up for about a second or two. It's no big deal and the video's never get interrupted.

Kingston Elite Pro 8 is Great!

(5 out of 5) by photogirl on May 5, 2009 (ca)
I've been looking for the perfect size CF card for my 50D and this one suits me just fine. I don't have to fumble for a new card in the middle of a great shot. It is fast enough for my high res and low res shots. The cost is so very reasonable, it's worth it.

Great product, Have used for over 2 years and it's very fast.

(5 out of 5) by Andrew Hart on May 3, 2009
This is my biggest card, I've had absolutely no problems with my cards and you shouldn't either unless you damage it yourself.

This card is great and I got it for a great price especially for 8gb.

Best on the market at the price.
