Not a DivX player and sound problems

The advertisement was mp4 divx and so on...However, it only plays normal dvd's and the wireless sound is very static. Even with wired the sound the sound is only mono which is heard only on one side and the other side is static. Very dissapointing. It was delivered fairly fast but that is the only good side to this product.
