Very nice usb hub

(5 out of 5) by Happy Husby! on Sep 4, 2009 (West Palm Beach, FL)
I bought this because it has a 3 foot long cord, a very nice price and the number of ports I needed. I needed it for my ps3 to run behind it and connect my ps3's headset, thermaltake usb fan for the ps3 and an external hard drive to save data to from the ps3. This hub handles them all without a hitch and there's no power supply for the thing, all of the devices run off of the hub. It's small, discreet, black to match my other components and at a great price, I highly recommend this product.

USB hub

(5 out of 5) by R. Laisle on May 21, 2009
Pros:It's a Toshiba product so I knew it would work just fine with my Toshiba laptop. It's small enough so that it takes up very little room in my case.
Cons:It isn't "powered" so you have to pay attention to how many and what kind of item's you plug into it.That isn't so much of a con as it is a note of interest.
Oh yeah,one final pro:You just can't beat the price/quality ratio.Buy it,you'll like it.

A little disappointed

(2 out of 5) by M. Tucker on Dec 28, 2008 (Baltimore, MD)
This hub will not power USB devices such as charging your iPod or powering a thumbdrive. I'm not sure what I'm really going to use it for now.

Great little hub, but will burn out on a metal base.

This is my second Toshiba USB 2.0 mini hub. Works great. I ran the first sitting one on a metal filing cabinet beside my desk, where it shorted out after a couple of months. It's on wood now and solidly adhered and I expect it to last for some time.

It works

(4 out of 5) by Michael Tanquary on Jun 2, 2008 (Illinois, USA)
Bought to make the rear USB 2.0 ports accessable, and it works. Works with external US hard drive and Norton Ghost 2003. Does not need an external power supply. Has a solid feel to it, and a single green LED. The feet are are a strange clear substance, and one came off and stuck to my PC, so that's why I gave it four out of five.
