BEST WAY TO REVIEW RESULTS

(5 out of 5) by Sam M. Hodges on Sep 8, 2008 (AZ USA)
I have tried differnt methods of evaluating results on my SLR LCD Screen, and this is by far the best method. It allows me to see the detail recorded in my image, it gives me a clear view of my LCD while shielding extraneous light, and it is light and easy to carry around my neck while shooting. It is far better than hoods and other devices.

Over Priced

(3 out of 5) by Mr. Jerry W. Gammon on Sep 8, 2008
While the product does what it says - helps you see your monitor in bright sun - I do not feel it is worth the price I paid ($54)...I would be a lot more pleased if it had been a $30 item.

Useful but flimsy

(2 out of 5) by E. Roth on Jul 19, 2008 (Washington Depot, CT United States)
I wish this product was well-made. It is very useful for viewing images on my D300 even in glaring sunlight, but within an hour of receiving the product, it fell lightly on the floor and lenses and rings were scattered everywhere. I managed to get it all back together, but I got to see how cheap and fragile the little plastic ring is that holds optics in place. I'll use it for as long as it lasts, but I'm not optimistic. If someone would manufacture one of these to take the wear and tear of real shooting, I'd buy it in a minute. When this one goes, I'll do without.

It Works

Wear it around your neck and see your shot perfectly, every time & in every light, using any Digital SLR (mine's a Canon 5D). Indispensable!

HoodLoupe Professional

(5 out of 5) by Jeffrey S. Johansen on May 15, 2008 (Indy!)
I have this as well and enjoy it, though I wish it were priced closer to $40 than nearly $70. I use this with my Canon 5D which has a 2.5" LCD screen. Very helpful on bright, sunny days. Actually it is helpful in all conditions for better focus checking when you zoom it.
