Excellent case.

I had one of these cases for my old Ipod, which was dropped and banged up for 3 years before it finally died (that's ancient for an ipod). The case had a few hairline cracks from my rough treatment, but my ipod kept on playing.

This is the only case with a truly secure belt clip. Any belt that will fit through your Levis, this clip will wrap around. I do a lot of construction work, up and down ladders, in and out of attics etc, and the belt clip never failed. I prefer the horizontal style, it works better with body motion. I clip the pod to the back of my belt, and run the headphones under the back of my shirt, so the cord stays out of the way.

About once a month I took the case apart, (and now my new one, for the 80g) to clean the concrete dust that works it's way in. All you need is a small screwdriver. Stick it in the side and turn 45 degrees, it pops right open. Of course you can't pry it open with your fingers, that's why it's such a great protective case.

Decent buy

I like this case. I keep my iPod in my car, so it gets thrown around a lot, and this case definitely protects it. Only problem is is that it's impossible to get off. I guess that's kind of a good thing, but if you ever want to get it out to clean it, you really have to put some muscle into it.

go my ipod dented

(1 out of 5) by L. Merighi on Jun 3, 2008
i got this case to protect my ipod classic and guess what, it damaged it. i bought the ipod and put it straight from it's packaging into the isee case. i open it today to dust it and what i see is 4 dents in the back of the ipod corresponding to the four little rubbery corners of the case. and no, i didn't use a 80gb case for a 160. i'm very upset. i might as well not gotten any case at all.

Yuk

It looks kind of silly, is hard to take on/off, and the case got scratched up immediately. Better the case than my ipod, but it got in the way of seeing the screen. Also, all sorts of dust and lint made its way in there, and it got really gross and was hard to clean, since it was all staticky.
