Works Great and Has Volume!

(5 out of 5) by John V. Wright on Jun 16, 2008 (Parker, Co. USA)
First bought the Atlantic Waterproof EGO. What a total disappointment!
Thing had no volume. I needed tunes while sailing my Hobie.
If you cranked it up, you got distortion and no volume. So I returned it and the search continued.

Found the amazing Hercules on Amazon, What a difference!
We have volume had to sacrifice compactness for heft but is worth it if you are looking for volume.
The unit did not come with a shoulder strap as shown in one of the pictures?
I am using the Waterproof "Freestyle Audio" Sport MP3" instead of the iPod. It fits snug inside and is cheaper than my iPod just incase. Not sure if the Hercules Floats if the bungees let loose. So we just 2x bungee it on the wing.

So in summary "Best thing around for watersports" and be able to hear whats around you and to share the music with your crew.

Amazing and Durable

(5 out of 5) by W. Swain on May 14, 2009 (Everywhere, USA)
I got this for camping and taking out on the boat, but a remodeling job came up and I used it on the job site. Needless to say it was dropped a few times and not only did it sustain minimal damage it kept playing. Sound quality is great as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a durable way to rock.

nice system but needs a better handle or to include the strap

(4 out of 5) by Tina on Mar 5, 2008 (Michigan)
I am pleased with the product except for the fact the handle on the back is difficult to use. On the box it shows people carrying this with a strap but it doesn't come with the strap so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars

Sounds Good Controls don;t work

(1 out of 5) by Jeff Franzel on Aug 17, 2009 (New York, NY)
We have tried 2 Ipod classics and one Nano and non of the work with the controls. The volume works fine but we are unable to change the music or advance to the next song without oepning the dock.. very frustrating.

My teenage son loves it

Wanted an outdoor iPod speaker for my son. He loves it, sound is good and it seems sturdy.
