Simple and functional

(5 out of 5) by Jeff Loomis on Feb 14, 2008 (Seattle, WA USA)
The Sonos system is great, but expensive. If you don't need sound output or input near your router, hook up one of these as the network connection point for the rest of the system. It's a lot cheaper than a ZonePlayer and it works perfectly.

Simple and effective

(5 out of 5) by D. Reno on Apr 29, 2008 (Midwest)
My Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station is centrally located in my house. The PC that stores all my music was at the far end of the house. Before the ZoneBridge 100 (BR100) I had to "waste" a ZonePlayer 80, a $350 investment. Now I have the BR100 connected directly to the Base Station. It simply sits on top of the Base Station, with no noticeable impact on range or wireless performance. I am able to listen to my music files throughout the entire house AND connect to Rhapsody's online music service. The BR100 is easy to setup and, IMO, very cost effective.

Excellent purchase, could not be happier

(5 out of 5) by C. Douglas on Nov 11, 2009 (New York, NY USA)
I have debated buying the Sonos system for several months mostly due to price and also in part wondering if it could truly live up to the claims and reviews. I am fairly technical and am usually an early adopter, although have at times, been disappointed with other purchases not working quite as well as advertised. I am thrilled with all aspects of my Sonos purchase and cannot believe how easy it was to set up and the sound quality. I received it about an hour ago, and in minutes, had the Zone Bridge connected to my router (since the router is kept hidden in a closet out of sight) and then the S5 ZonePlayer set up in my living room. I can now stream my iTunes Library from a Time Capsule (NAS) and listen to streaming music from Pandora, Last.fm, Sirius and more. Plus, as a transplanted Minnesotan in New York, I can save my favorite local stations from MN and listen to them here as if I were at home. The music is flawless, crystal clear and I would never know it is from the internet- no stutters, gaps or delay. This is one product that has surpassed my expectations completely. The only downside I can see will be now wanting to buy another S5 for my bedroom.

Great, simple way to distribute music around your home

(5 out of 5) by M. C. ALLEN on Dec 27, 2008 (Long Beach, CA USA)
This is a basic part of the Sonos system. It's used to connect the larger system to the internet. The advantage of the Sonos system the simple set-up. I had the whole 3 room system set up (without any call to customer service) in just a few hours. I considered alternate (and cheaper) systems like the Logitech Squeezebox. However, the alternatives use an existing wireless network. With one kid playing WOW and another downloading video, bandwidth is already um, squeezed. Of course, I could beef up my network, but that would make the price much higher and add a lot of complication. Sonos sets up its own proprietary "net" that works great and is dead simple. I'm very happy with the system.

Great for connecting receiver to computer music files

(5 out of 5) by Ray on Dec 10, 2008 (Kingwood, Tx)
Very satisfied with this product.
I wanted to listen to the music files on my PC and to playlists on Rhapsody on my home audio system that is in a different room. This device along with the Zone Player 90 allowed me to connect my PC to my audio receiver without having to run wires between the devices.

In addition the Sonos Desktop controller allows connectivity to a large number of radio stations over the internet that I can now listen to using the Zone Player. I wasn't aware of this feature when I made the purchase but it is a pleasant surprise.

I had some McAfee firewall problems in getting the files set up on the Sonos Player initially but the customer service rep at Sonos helped me resolve that issue quickly. Sonos also has an extensive FAQ list on their internet site that is helpful to users.
