Happy buyer !

(5 out of 5) by Sue on May 5, 2008 (Mississippi)
I am very satisfied with this phone. I ordered this system and one more phone for a total of 3 hand sets. My voice sounds just fine to others when I make a call. The answering machine is a snap to set up and I can hear and understand callers quite well when they leave a message. My phone sits right by my computer and I have no interference problems - none!

I have read on several reviews where people have had battery problems with this type of phone system. The receivers are not supposed to be resting in the "holders" until they need to be re-charged.On most phones, how would you know when they need to be recharged? A great feature of this model is that it has a tiny little symbol of a battery similar to what you see on a digital camera view finder. It shows you how full the battery is so that you can determine when recharging is needed. I just lay the receiver on the table by its holder and return it to be charged when I see that the battery is running low. I expect these batteries to last a long time because of this extra feature.

This is a great phone system at a great price.

Clear reception

(4 out of 5) by Bone on Jul 31, 2008 (Atchison, Kansas United States)
The voice quality is excellent, something that has not always been true of phones using a greater than 900mhz frequency. I was leery for that reason. Glad to have been proven wrong.

Feature-Wise, Best Phone I Ever Had!

(5 out of 5) by Life on Jan 15, 2009 (Georgia Isles)
This is the best phone I ever had. It is laden with enhancements. Other vendors are down right stingy compared to features Uniden put in this product. It is a 5.8 spectrum phone, so I bought DECT 6.0 phones thinking I would get better clarity. ANCKK! I don't see a difference between the Uniden and the DECT 6.0 phones. I have AT&T and Panasonic DECT 6 systems. They have the same speakerphone audio clarity problems.

I have tried just about all the various phone vendors. This Uniden is my favorite, except for the colours. Uniden could use a bit more blue or green and needs to ditch that Halloween orange!

Great phone system

(5 out of 5) by MyPenName on Aug 4, 2008 (Pennsylvania)
I received this phone system from another merchant, but figured I might as well still write a review.

I am VERY pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a multi handset system.

The sound is VERY clear, no static, no interference, no garble, no echo. Handsets have a very good distance that you can use them away from the base and still no imperfections in sound quality or reception.

The phone has a good amount of options and settings, but not an overwhelming amount - which is good. There are a few various ringtones that you can set for each handset. The digital answering machine is great as well and there are also various settings for that. You can mount the main base and the extra handset base on the wall if desired.

I am looking to buy an additional handset for this system. On the Uniden website they only sell "like new" (refurbed?) units. eBay has really good prices for them though.

I am very happy with this system and am very glad I got it.

great set

The phone system does everything + a little more than I expected from it. The only drawback is there is a little static when speaking - but not so much as it interferes with the conversation. The ease of walking around the house or in the yard while talking is great. I definitely recommend this phone.
