(5 out of 5) by cj barclay on Jan 18, 2009my old BA's blew a woofer (after over 15 years!) and I finally replaced them and remembered why I ditched TV - man they fill the room sweetly with music. I wish I'd had replaced them earlier. Note they they are sold as single speakers, not in pairs - that was weird - wish I'd have known when I ordered - made a sucky christmas present and I had to go back and order another. The first vendor didn't have anymore so I ordered the 2nd from another vendor and they lied about it being new - but it still sounds delicious.

Sweet Speakers!
(5 out of 5) by slvbeard on Dec 18, 2008 (Central, MD)These Boston Acoustics HS 40MDNT speakers are fairly small in size, but don't let that fool you. They sound much larger than they actually are. The rubberized case is different than the standard wood cabinets, but it's a nice touch and they are built very rugged. I cranked these way up in the store and compared them to the latest from Polk, Klipsch and Bose and these had the richest sound with a good mix of bass and high ranges. Great speakers!
