Strong digital reception, can be easily hidden inside TV cabinet

(5 out of 5) by vintner on Jul 5, 2008 (Northern CA USA)
This HTDV antenna is small enough to fit comfortably at the back of a shelf only 8 inches high, completely inside the TV stand. It requires very little space--it can fit behind another component, since it doesn't need any human access in use. One wire to the antenna socket on the TV, power cord to the power strip used for cable box and DVD player, and it's entirely invisible, wholly contained within the cabinet. I use it to receive digital signals (only) in a strong signal area (tower 2.5 miles away), and it does a great job looking out through a wood-and-steel TV-stand cabinet, through internal walls (old-fashioned dense lath and plaster), and then through external walls. It's great not to have a large and ugly indoor antenna visible in the room.

Great Little HDTV Antenna

(5 out of 5) by Mr. G on May 31, 2008 (Los Angeles, California)
I have cable TV service without HD. When I bought a HDTV, I wanted to watch shows in high definition so bought the GE 24775 Quantum Indoor HDTV Antenna. After running a setup scan from my HD televison, I am able to receive all my local stations and local PBS stations. I get superb images, color and sound. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles, California approximately 17 miles from the TV towers. After a few days, I discovered that I had the antenna upside down, so I correctd it with no chages in performance. It is fairly small in size compared to other antennas I've seen, but, it is a great performer. what a wonderful design.

Got Only About Two Thirds of Stations that I Should

(3 out of 5) by prussianette on Aug 23, 2008 (Grayslake, IL United States)
I really liked the look of this antenna, and with all the good reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. I live half way between Milwaukee and Chicago. With my RCA Indoor Amplified Tv Antenna, I received over 40 channels from both Milwaukee and Chicago, including CBS from Milwaukee (CBS is a difficult channel to get in Chicago area). I got almost no channels from Milwaukee with this antenna, and many of those in Chicago would fade in and out. Needless to say, I will be returning this. I thought about giving two stars, but decided to rate average with three as I suspect getting an appropriate antenna simply means finding one that works well with your TV, your geographic location, and your environmental circumstances.

Great Antenna! (And SO discreet!!)

(5 out of 5) by Morosco on Jul 28, 2008 (Richmond, Virginia USA)
This little thing is fantastic. Works like a charm. I never needed to fine tune my signals by repositioning. No matter where I put it I got great reception. I now have it hidden behind a chair so it is completely out of sight. Highly recommended.

Works Perfectly in my Apartment

(5 out of 5) by K. Wright on Jul 27, 2008 (Dallas, Texas)
I was replacing some very old rabbit ears that weren't pulling in ABC in my apartment and had been looking for a good alternative. The reviews seemed good and I found it at target for $35 so I went there since I could return it easily if it didn't work (I usually don't believe any antenna is better than my old rabbit ears). BUT this was better. The compact design allowed me to put it on my window seal and behind my bookcase and it pulled in all my stations. Now, if I pull it back a bit from the window seal then the reception is bad. I think it is the shape that makes it better because my old rabbit ears couldn't sit well on the window seal. The shape of these is incredibly versatile for the new digital broadcasts. I highly recommend trying these for in town apartment dwellers who need something that can sit close to the window to avoid all the signal interference that apartments bring. It also looks pretty good on the window, the design is not horrible and silver is a pretty neutral color.
