Great nightlight but a poor weather station

Beautiful lcd screen that changes color with each 10 degree change in the weather at your local major metropolitan area.
Runs using a power adapter plugged into the wall or on batteries.
Con's:
Give less information than most any local cable weather channel.
No indoor/outdoor temperature sensor.
Gives you accurate weather only if your in or very near a major metropolitan area.
Very limited utility unless you don't have local weather available on the television.

Impractical for those with local cable TV access

It doesn't have an indoor or outdoor temperature sensor so it can't tell you what's actually going on at your location.
The lcd screen that changes color with the temperature is bright (too bright for the bedroom) and interesting but of little utility. Those without access to the local weather channel on cable TV might find this product more helpful. Kids might like it in their room as a pretty color changing night-light.
A table top weather station with an outdoor temperature sensor, barometer sensor, etc. is way more useful than this product.

I think that one of the best features is that it doesn't require a local wireless network with internet access like many other similar products. It works with a radio receiver. The device took overnight to do the first update, but once that is done it seems to be pretty accurate. We live in East Denver, and the airport where the readings originate is close enough to be pretty accurate to where we are.
I also like the fact that the unit receives all the available updates and you can scroll though the cites to see forcasts for other areas.
