Great Size - Great Sound - Minimal Heat

We were trying to obtain a better, more powerful amp to replace the factory Infinity amp behind the passenger side kick panel. The largest obstacle was finding a quality amp in a small enough size to fit properly. We wanted the stealthy factory look. This amp worked great! With its great performance, efficiency and modest power requirements, we were even able to feed it using the factory power and ground wires. We made a custom sheet-metal mount to use the factory mounting points, connected the factory wiring, and reaped the benefits of a job well done. The sound is phenomenal!! My son is driving aftermarket Infinity separates (6.5) in the front (high-pass) and Kicker woofers (6.5) in the back (low-pass), both in the factory locations. It all looks factory but sounds like a $2000 custom install......even through the factory Infinity head unit.....excellent dynamic range and VERY clean! I am so impressed, I will soon be ordering the same amp for my 2003 Dakota QC.

(5 out of 5) by Jeremy on Apr 1, 2009The amp is really sweet. It is very nice to be able to keep the stock unit. I have a hybrid and was concerned about messing with the battery too much and about using too much power draining the battery pack. This amp isnt power hungry and I feel comfortable not jacking with all the wires. Great power and easy as heck to install. The instructions really suck, though. It is in 50 languages but completely uninformative.
Easy Installation & Good Sound

I'm driving a Suzuki SX4 which comes with steering audio controls. If I were to upgrade the stock audio system I may loss the convenience of the steering audio controls. With this Blaupunkt amplifier and the specific PnP cables for my car model (need to buy it seperately), I'm able to hook up the amplifier thru my existing stock head unit. So now my headunit act as a preamp & the Blaupunkt will be my power amp. The Blaupunkt also have a pre-out so I can hook up an external subwoofer.
The installation was easy and the amp sit nicely under my car seat. The sounds really improved, with better body & clarity. Stereo seperation also improved. It's a great upgrade for my car. Next up the speakers...
