Grainy Pictures
I had the Kodak DX7630, it took excellent pictures. I dropped it and broke the case so decided to go with Kodak again. This time buying the V1233. Indoor pictures were awful, blurry and grainy. Outdoor shots were fine. Returned the camera and bought a Canon.

Still in the ditch
I purchased the V1233 December 19, 2007.
Positives: Cheap for a purported 12 Mega Pixel Camera(Lens doesn't allow its 12 mega pixel rating to be effectively used in anything except the most ideal conditions)
Negatives: (1)Lacks a useful printed manual. (2)Very bad ergonomics. Uncomfortable, heavy "pocket camera" with crowded buttons all over leaving little room to actually hold the camera.(3)Slow shot cycle even using HS SD memory.(4)Ineffective redeye reduction flash.(5) Ineffective antishake(6)AC charger was D.O.A. (7)1 hour and forty minute wait on the phone only to get poor customer service from Kodak.
I remember when Kodak went in the poor design, poor quality, ditch a decade or so ago. I thought surely they had extricated themselves from that in the 10+ year interval since then. I was wrong. The ditch is now an abyss. Returned it today and happily bought a Fuji S700 that is twice the camera (even at 7 mega pixels) for less money.
I will never go back to Kodak again, as they have now totally lost my trust. Too bad for a former giant to take such a fall and then chose to remain down on the mat wallowing over customers who try to return as patrons. I repeat, Never again!

This camera does not come with a charger??!!
This camera does not come with a charger! I find that absolutely unbelievable! How can you sell a camera that runs with a rechargeable battery and you find out once you receive the camera that you have to buy it seperately?
I am absolutely amazed ... so beware! It doesn't even say on the packet ... I had to look at the instruction manual and it states, sold seperately.
Hasn't anyone else had this problem?

poor
The first "camera" was not even in the box, so a replacement was shipped. When we received the replacement it had been shipped from Amazon Returns Center, so we also returned the actual camera and the empty box in separate shipments with separate UPS tracking numbers. We printed your return labels as you requested, but when it came time to issue us a refund for the camera that we shipped back to, you are not willing to issue us a refund for something that we returned back to you!!! I am extremely disappointed with your company and at the present time we are disputing the charge, but you are fighting it. I sent you an e-mail on 3/19/08 explaining this to you, but as of 5/17/08 I have not received a response from you. I have not had a problem with your company until this purchase, but I am not willing to let the $176.11 be charged back to my account when I returned this item to you!! If this is the way that you do business, then I will take mine elsewhere. I would like this problem resolved as soon as possible.

Misleading Advertizing
The images on the screen for this product includes a tripod, memery card, card reader and camera case, but these items are not included in the package. Per customer service, these items are intended to show possible accessories, but this is not clear and there are no links to these products. Be careful! I feel mislead.
