Individually charges each battery as it should. The display shows progress only.
Tried it with both the power wart and the USB powered charging. Did reboot the computer the time I tried it but the computer came up fine with it still attached. Might have put a bit too much load on the USB chip. Haven't tried the car powered part yet but no reason it won't work.

Good deal
(4 out of 5) by Grover on Aug 31, 2008 (Cocoa, Fla)So far the charger works well. The only down side is you can only charge 2 AAA batteries at a time. It takes a little longer than 45 minutes to fully charge 4 AA's, but it is still faster than most at this price.
