Great center channel speaker that is Plasma TV/wall mount friendly
After having these speakers (also have the promonitor 1000's and BP1.2X surrounds) for about six months, I can recommend them whole heartedly. I have had speakers from PSB, Boston Acoustics, Paradigm and Yamaha. These Definitives are unrivaled for clarity. Don't be fooled by their size, these things can fill a room with sound. They have two built in wall mounting options, Keyhole slot and threaded insert, that makes them very decor/plasma TV friendly. They also rate very high on the "Wife Approval Factor" for aesthetics. Understand that these speakers do require at least a couple of weeks break in time to sound their best.

GREAT PRODUCTS, GREAT COMPANY
The Definitive Technology ProCenter 2000 is part of my new 5.1 surround system, which also includes four of the company's ProMonitor 1000 speakers and their SuperCube III subwoofer. I must admit that I was astonished at the immensity and beauty of the sonic presentation created by this speaker array. The room just fills with spectacular, accurate sound that is never strained or strident, even at pretty appreciable levels. The company, too, is special. I had lots of questions both before and after I purchased the system, and the folks at Definitive were knowledgeable, courteous and helpful -- and the time on hold before someone picked up was either nothing or a few minutes. All pretty much as good as it gets.

Excellent speaker, great experience
Love the sound - totally changed music and movie sounds for the better.
Arrived on time in great condition. I love the speaker. I replaced an Infinity Beta 250, which was good, but this one is very, very rich and clear, both at the lower and higher frequencies.

DEF TECH PRCENTER 2000
If you're looking for a speaker that's better than most but at the same time won't break your budget, the DEFTECH line of speakers is defintely a good investment. I have the complete 5.1 set up with DEFTECH promonitor 1000 for front and surround, procenter 2000 for center and prosub 1000 s/w. The procenter 2000 upgrade is well worth this investment especially for bigger rooms but I would probably recommend going with a Velodyne DPS 12" for the subwoofer ( in my case because of the room size), although the prosub 1000 is holding it's own quite well. Good investment, good price, good quality, excellent sound for both music and movies.
Difinitive 2000 Center Channel review
I would probably rate this unit higher but my BP6's sound so good that I have to compare the Center Channel 2000 to them. If I were to do without the BP6's and use only the 2000 I might think it sounded better. Then too, I haven't had it that long or used it that much so it has not gone through a complete break in period yet.
I heard a 1000 in store and thought it was a great speaker. I'm sure this one will be even better after its break in period.
