Satisfied

(5 out of 5) by Tracy L. Settle on Apr 12, 2008
Phone works fantastic for the 82 year old woman that I care for. She can hear and talk with no problems. The light and ring tone is perfect for her as well. Arrived prepackaged with easy install and in a rightly time frame.

Large Button, High Volume Phone

(5 out of 5) by J. Spithill on Sep 11, 2008 (Kingwood, Texas United States)
Purchased for my eithty-eight year old father, who is both hearing and vision impaired. This is a very good product and, though it doesn't say so in the description, it has thirteen programmable buttons which is very helpful.

Very helpful for hard-of-hearing

(5 out of 5) by Mom and daughter on Aug 9, 2008
Bought this for my mother, who finally can hear telephone conversations more easily. She also loves the 3 pre-programmed buttons, so she doesn't have to remember our phone numbers. Very happy with this phone.

GE 29568GE1 Dect 6.0 Corded Big Button Phone

(3 out of 5) by bj on Dec 27, 2008 (USA)
I bought this for my father who is 83. Other relatives installed it for him report that the ringer is very loud but my father was unable to hear it. Apparently this phone only has a single ring tone and if you are deaf to that frequency you are out of luck. They swapped an old AT&T / Bell Labs phone they had which he can hear ring. Given that the other reviews are positive I am leaving a 3-star rating for this product.

finally a phone for my mother

(5 out of 5) by J. J. on Feb 24, 2009 (LI, NY)
have tried seven different phones over the past four years for my mother who is now ninety. Some were too complicated, some weren't loud enough, one would go dead after a few minutes of her conversing, one didn't register the number one after a few months of dialing. She has a lot of telemarketers call her but I also got her a big illuminated caller ID so now she doesn't pick up if she doesn't know the caller. She calls me triumphantly to tell me she has resisted the impulse, and says she finds nothing wrong with her new phone!
