This might not be the right cable for you.

Do not buy this cable if your TV has an HDMI slot and your PC has DVI connection . In this case you should get DVI to HDMI cable even if your TV manual does not recommend using HDMI for your PC input. But if your TV dose not have an HDMI input then you are stuck with VGA cable. VGA outputs and inputs serial signal while DVI and HDMI inputs and outputs digital signal. Regarding this cable, it might transmit the highest resolution but in my opinion this does not matter if you will not get a crystal clear picture on your HDTV. Also your VGA in the back of your TV might not even accept the highest resolutions that those cables can deliver and the truth is that VGA to VGA or DVI to VGA cables are impossible to deliver a crystal clear picture no matter what resolution it brings to the table, that is because the signal that is entering your TV will be a serial signal and not digital one. Unfortunately I got this cable for 28$ (not including shipping) without an audio cable which is something you can find easily and cheaper in other cable brands. Just to be fair this cable transmits a good signal with no loss I believe and no delay in picture and it has a pretty good shield but maybe because I was expecting more of it than it can deliver I was a little bit disappointed but live to learn. Also if you decide to use DVI to HDMI cable do not forget to get a good video card for your PC that includes an audio port this way you will be able to deliver both video and audio out of your video card on your DVI to HDMI cable. Goodluck.

Beware Atlona

(1 out of 5) by A. Curtiss on Apr 23, 2009 (USA)
Beware Atlona customer support and cables.
These Atlona cables work fine if you get the right ones from Atlona, I ordered some, what came was a generic VGA, after about 10 emails and several phone calls, Atlona Technologies finally told me they were on back order, (even though they make the cables there in San Jose) They said it would be a couple weeks, but the cable they sent should work, it could not even carry a signal 12 feet,
They finally admitted it was a cheap generic and should not have been sent. They promised to send a new Atlona cable, but it has been 5 weeks and no cable. At one time they were a good company with good customer support,
but have since gone down hill with my past three orders.
