Out of the box, it was a snap to install and truly would be considered Plug n Play! This has EVERYTHING you need to hook your iPod up to your stereo/TV and keep it charged while docked.
I bought one for our vacation place up in the mountains and now I have a huge choice of things I can listen to from my iPod Clickwheel and my wife's iPod Nano. As a result, I just added this to my own Amazon Wish List for my home stereo system.

Solid Performer

Nice weight and seems to stay in place; if the cats get it-may add some double sided tape or Velcro to bottom. I am using it for an IPod touch (in slider Incase without any insert in dock) hooked to an aux input on a clock radio (for headphone use) with mini jack out-to play Wunder Radio (greatest app ever). It makes for a nice clean setup; I am using the cheaper (was $16 now $19 F8Z122) version without the usb charger end as I had plenty of usb blade chargers on-hand.

Does what it is designed to do quite well.

My home system is decent and the quality of the sound using the dock is noticeably better than simply taking the output from the headphone jack. It was a good buy.

(2 out of 5) by Dan Rohde on Nov 7, 2009The dock does send music to my stereo, which is what I bought it for. However, the little wall charger quit working after a couple weeks. Now when I plug it in, the little blue light goes on for a moment then goes out - it does not charge the iPod anymore. I threw away the box it came in, so I didn't try to return it. I have ordered another Belkin F8Z121 charger (under $10), which seemed like a cheaper fix than repackaging this device and then paying for return postage. The video out to my TV did not work for the one movie I have on my iPod Touch. Overall, it's a nice charger dock, but save your packaging in case the charger quits working.

The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because you cannot use the power adapter and have it connected to the computer at the same time. You can either sync it to the computer or charge it using the power adapter. The dock I use with my Creative Vision:M does both. You just pop it in the cradle to sync and charge at the same time.
