Good value option
Compared to the Apple alternative that will run you $50 more, this is an excellent choice. The big difference between the two is the Belkin unit does not have a remore control.

Works with Touch wearing DLO Jam Jacket
I was looking for a cradle coming with charging cable at cheaper price than the Apple's expensive products and I found this product. I paid about $30 to buy this from Amazon and am pretty much satisfied with price, quality and functions! I use DLO Jam Jacket to protect my Touch and don't want to remove it while my Touch is charging. I found this cradle works with my Touch wearing DLO Jam Jacket if I don't use the white plastic adapter. The connection still seems steady without the adapter for me.

Syncs/Charges 3rd generation iPod Touch
I was surprised when my 3rd generation touch arrived with only a sync cable, earphones, and a little universal dock insert. My older 4th generation iPod classic came with chargers, dock, the whole works. This Belkin works great to sync my iPod, or to charge it from either the PC or the included USB/AC charger. All of the pieces look a lot better built than the cheep generic chargers/docks. I have not tried the audio/video outs, but assue the audio works, video doesn't (this probably does not have the chip required for the newest iPod video outs).
I do not need that, a GREAT DEAL.

Reasonably priced and it DOES work with the iPod Touch
Thanks to to the review by MacLabDoug, I purchased this unit to use with my iPod Touch 2nd generation. I was looking at the newer model the Belkin Power Dock for iPod-F8Z122 and after reading the reviews decided to go with this older model, the Belkin Dock with USB Wall Charger for iPod-F8Z126 since it comes with the AC adapter. Since it's original release date was back in 2001, it does only come with 4 different dock adapters which none are specifically design for the iPod Touch, but I ordered the Apple Universal Dock Adapter 3-Pack for iPod touch 2G (White) which worked perfectly with this unit. The original dock that came with your iPod Touch will work as well, I just happen to be using it in another docking station. If I was to have purchased the newer model, I would have had to purchase the AC adapter which would of cost quite a bit more than the unit itself. So I am really saving money and getting more with the older model.
I prefer having my iPod Touch standing straight up instead of laying it down and having to worry about scratching the metal back. The dock has a sleek and stylish look with a silver metallic finish on the base. Sits securely flat and you don't have to worry about it tipping over. The USB cord is generously long in length. The AC adapter is easy to use, just plug in the USB port into the adapter than plug the adapter into the outlet. I prefer adapters like this instead of the kind that has the cord attached - makes things less bulky and easier to take along with you. I do not have use for the AV cords since I never connect my iPod to a TV, but it is nice to have just in case I find a need for them.
One thing I did notice is that I had to plug the USB directly to my laptop instead of using my multiple USB hub. My USB hub did not recognize the iPod. This might just be a problem with my hub, but I wanted to let you know in case you encounter the same problem. Once I plugged the USB directly into my laptop, the iPod immediately connected to iTunes and started syncing/charging.

Exactly What's Needed - No More, No Less
I was looking for a simple iPod dock that would provide a charging source and would allow connectivity to my home stereo and theater component system(s), without the fuss of plugging in assorted cables every time. The Belkin product was a little more expensive than I wanted, but it works perfectly and provides the exact right functionality. The dock itself is simple and unobtrusive, and comes with an assortment of adapters to fit any iPod. The adapter for the iPod Classic is sized and shaped to hold my iPod upright without putting unnecessary strain on the connector - good design. Overall, a well designed and engineered product.
