Do not buy this product
(1 out of 5) by computer geek on Sep 6, 2009 (Virginia)Do not buy this product. I never got any cheap and unreliable product before. It broke into flame only after 2 minutes of charging. Imagine you are not there, your house might be gone too! I was so shock when I heard some pop pop sounds from that device, and smoke came out, then flame came out. Very quick I jumped to the socket and unplugged it. I have read many stories about cheap chargers, and cheap batteries got burned, but never experience one until now.
I wrote to Amazon and warned them do not sponsor stuffs selling from this merchant or else they will get sued by consumers.
For short, from now on I will never buy cheap products made in China anymore. Is is not worth my saving.

NOTE:
(2 out of 5) by nlbeggar on Dec 6, 2009 (NY, USA)This battery does not communicate with the camera. It works, but when you use it, you have no idea how much battery power you have left. It says this as a note on the packaging, but it is not included on the information on Amazon.
Good little charger

This little charger is a huge improvement over the Canon charger. I takes up less than a quarter of the space in my camera bag.
It has an indicator light for charging (red) and charged (green).
Inexpensive.
Car 12V connector - that I have not tried.
Con:
It lacks the Canon charger's charge state indicator (single, double, triple flashes or steady for 'full'). A minor loss.
