Nice, but too modern!

(4 out of 5) by Leandro G. F. DUTRA on Mar 13, 2008 (São Paulo, SP BRAZIL)
This remote control attach to the same multiport that is used for USB and video output. It does not feel as nice as the old mechanical cables attaching to the shutter button, but it feels well made and includes a velcro strap to make it more secure by attaching to the main camera strap.

IT WORKS!

(5 out of 5) by John E. Hetsch on Jun 15, 2008 (LOUISVILLE, KY USA)
THIS IS A SIMPLE ACCESSORY, BUT A USEFUL ONE FOR TAKING LONG EXPOSURES WITH CAMERA MOUNTED ON A TRIPOD. IT WORKS WELL, AS ADVERTISED, BUT IT IS PRETTY PRICEY CONSIDERING IT'S SIMPLICITY. NEVERTHELESS, IT IS A USEFUL TOOL FOR WHEN IT'S NEEDED. I CURRENTLY USE IT WITH AN OLYMPUS SP570UZ.

Camera Remote Cable

(5 out of 5) by D. Phelps on Aug 31, 2008 (Oregon)
This product does exactly what it claims. You simply set up your shot, review it with a half press of the button, then when your ready, just press the button completely. The only thing that would make this product better is to have it wireless. For tripod shooting either action or stills, for a movement free shot, this is the must have item for your camera gadjet bag.

Olympus wired shutter remote

(4 out of 5) by T. Cruit on Aug 5, 2008 (Great Falls, MT)
This device functions flawlessly with my E-510. Push the button half way for AF and fully depress it to activate shutter. The only problem I have with it is the short cable, its only 2.8 feet long.

Overpriced

(4 out of 5) by Marvin R. Doering on Nov 8, 2009 (Lemay, Missouri USA)
Like everything made for photography this item is way too expensive, but, if you want it, you have to pay the price. It works but I will never use it enough to justify what it cost. That's my problem.
