Check out the prices at Jordan's Furniture Carl's TV this week in the local papers. Selling these speakers sets in the $300 range.
Esthetically Pleasing

I am very pleased with the sound quality and very happy with how they look. This is Def Tech's lowest priced surround sound system and a great choice for someone who does not want to go broke creating a home theatre set up. I have never had a surround sound system but i've heard many, and these measure up well with most. The other speaker systems in this price range are still good but the deal breaker for me was the fact that there is an actual center channel instead of just another satellite speaker. I mounted mine on the wall with the pro 80 mounts which have an awesome design and can be rotated almost anywhere you want. There is also a secure & stable tripod style base to set on your TV stand or a shelf. I plan on adding two pro 800's as my front left and right so I will have a 7.1 surround.
Worth every penny.

I purchased these speakers about a month ago with a Denon receiver and they are definitely worth the price. If you watch a lot of movies and want to have spectacular sound I would highly recommend this item. One of the first movies I watched after purchasing this was Transformers on Bluray and it was just a fantastic experience. The whole room was pretty much shaking.

Let me start by saying I research everything extensively before I buy it, especially home audio. I initially thought I wanted bose acoustimass, but all the reviews were mixed. My biggest criteria was small speakers. I previously had tower Sonys and bose surround, but was ready for a more hidden look. I whittled the research down to mirage nanosats or these. I was skeptical spending $600+ without hearing them and went to the local best buy where I could listen to both. They both sound great, but the definitive sounded a bit fuller and I couldn't get used to the nanosats. Setup is a bit odd, but well worth the sound. Plenty of tight bass, but not too boomy and the mids and highs are clear and lifelike.

We love these speakers. They don't stand out in the living room, but they have amazing sound. We would buy them again if we had to do it all over.
