Lose the blue light!
(3 out of 5) by L. Merrick on Mar 7, 2009This works just fine and for a good price - but if you are light sensitive and charge your iPod or iPhone in the same room where you sleep - forget it! You will be up all night.

Does what it says... nothing more.

Pros:
Works like a charm. I have a Motorola cell phone and it charges that perfectly with the USB A to MiniB. Also I have a really lousy Jabra Bluetooth earpiece (BT4051) that works with this as well. iPod charging cable works great with my iTouch (Gen 1).
Cons:
Written specifically on the iPod charging cable that it is for charging only and no data. Seriously... how hard would it have been to have made it a data cable as well. For an extra $5 it would have been ENTIRELY worth it. Could have used it as a spare data cable PLUS can carry it with your charger. They failed to have a product that would surpass anything else out there but instead made yet another charger. What a shame. Hence the 1 star off.
I'm a little bitter about the con but this product definitely does charge my iPod and other devices but to get my extra star to make it 5 stars requires a company to go above and beyond the expected. Belkin failed in that department.
Oh, one side note. If the light bothers so many of you so much, how about covering it up? So many ways of covering that light up if it bugs that much. I suppose it's just like my gripe, another place Belkin could have improved but failed.
In the end... hey, it does what it said it would do.
