Great printer, cheap ink

(5 out of 5) by Loraine Arnold on Feb 3, 2008
I was pleasantly surprised when I got this printer at the high quality of prints of photos and text. The scanner is also very handy to scan in old photos as you can lay several on the scanner and scan at once into separate files.

I highly recommend this printer.

Serious Hardware Flaws

(1 out of 5) by C. Moore on Jan 16, 2008
I generally liked this printer and the software that comes with it. Unfortunately, the unit I purchased just had too many mechanical problems including a control panel that stopped working and numerous print head errors. The Kodak technical support site was also unresponsive. Therefore, I would not recommend this printer.

Great at First...then Junk!

(1 out of 5) by Barry C. Collyer on Jan 6, 2008
I bought the All in One 5300 because I liked the thought of sticking it to the other vendors in regards to not buying their expensive ink. The printer worked great at first and I have some wonderful 8 x 10 photos, However I discovered that the ink dries up if not used....I think? I have found that if you let the printer sit for a month or so it seems that one of the inks need to be replaced. Then I discovered the same printhead issue in that black print is not working. Cleaning, calibration etc. is not worth it. One thing about buying a product is for it not to be so much trouble. This is too much trouble and I am not even going to contact customer service. This printer goes to the donation pile. I am happy to go out and buy an HP or Canon printer with their expensive ink as a trade off for having a reliable and quality product. The idea was great...the implementation was poor. The product manger at Kodak for this product should be fired.

UPDATE: Print head was bad and Kodak gave me the run-around. Turns out to be a common problem. Great concept turned out bad due to poor design and even poorer customer service. I can not believe my only choice ended up to just put it in the dumpster. Grandsons Kodak camera broke about same time after a short period of ownership. No more Kodak products for me and I don't use film anymore...

Kodak 's customer service

(1 out of 5) by bruceschaf on Jan 11, 2008 (New Jersey)
I just received my Kodak Easyshare multifunction printer that I bought through Amazon and J&R Electronics. Both of these companies have been great to deal with. However,Kodak's customer service is about the worst I've ever encountered.I'm having a problem with the bluetooth functioning of this printer and after 3 emails, trying to get support on the phone and trying to chat online with a rep,I've had no luck whatsoever. No one responds to my emails, the chat does not connect and after waiting on the phone for quite some time,I finally hung up-and still have not resolved my problem.

Nice printer if worked 100%

(3 out of 5) by J. Powell on Dec 25, 2007 (sTX)
This is a nice little printer if it worked 100%. I tried several times to get the wireless bluetooth feature to work and it just would not work. I purchased it for the low cost ink and I have an EasyShare Z1275 to print pictures with this printer. So I returned the printer and kept my old HP and still looking for a good AIO wireless printer that works 100%.
