Nice Hub - Bright

Jan 18, 2008 - By D. Lehman (Callaway, MD)

Have had this plastic cased hub for about two months now and it's still working as well as the ports on the computer - but more convenient. Comes with a power supply, although it appears it's only needed if you want the hub lit even when the computer is off. Mine works fine on just USB power with only one drive installed, and I don't want the dual blue LEDs on top lit all the time as they are very bright, like light up the room bright. Also the ports may be too close to install 4 drives simultaneously. My attitude is - the brighter the better - and I only have two thumb drives, so I'd definitely buy this hub again.

Nice!

Jun 9, 2008 - By Billie C. Woullard Jr. (Bossier City, LA)

Opened the box and was surprised to see how small unit actually is. (I never remember measurements!). Set up is easy. Just plug in included power supply, attach supplied USB cord to your computer and go. I particularly like the cool blue LED's that stay on 24/7. Acts as night light for my living room, (if your computer is set up in your bedroom, you may want to look at another unit), and are very bright. Little if any heat felt. If you're like me and have several things to plug into your computer, but don't want to clutter up the back of it, this little device is the way to go. Price is reasonable, too.

7 port high speed hub

Oct 23, 2008 - By Carol Minot (Jacksonville, AR USA)

I bought this one Amazon.com after looking at what seemed like hundreds of these things. Didn't know if it would mess up my computer or not; but went and ahead and bought it.
I hooked it up with no trouble, plugged my digital camera line into it, and downloaded the pictures, and this worked great! My computer is in the back bedroom, and the bright blue light functions as a really neat night light.
All in all, a very good deal - would buy again.

Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub

Nov 5, 2008 - By W. Williams (Seneca, Mo United States)

This is a handy hub to have. Although the light is rather bright, it is better than looking to see if a small little red light is lit. Recommend that you plug it into a power supply that can be turned off when not in use. Very easy to set up and a good price.

Worthless Power Cable on a great device

Nov 11, 2008 - By Alex Turner (Philadelphia PA)

This device might be an awesome USB Hub. I will never find out as the power chord is about 3 foot long. It wont reach from my desk to my power strip on the floor. The USB Cable it comes with is however 6 feet long. This is the exact opposite that I would expect from a desktop hub. The thing is going to sit right next to my computer surely, and a long USB cable is the last thing I want.

On the plus side, it's compact, and it has a neat blue light. But like I said, given the length of the power chord, It's totally useless to me.
