Seems like a nice enough scope, but I was surprised that Celestron doesn't sell any more powerful lens for it. 40X is better than a magnifying glass, but it would be nice to have a 10X objective.

I recently purchased the Celestron 44202 stereo microscope. The quality of this microscope far surpassed my expectations. The quality of the lenses and the low price are both very impressive. I do a lot of identification of insects based on minute details of their anatomy, and this scope proved worthy of great detail and resolution.

I'm a Microbiologist as well as Biologist, and I`ve been working with this kind of equipment my whole professional life. This stereoscope is perfect, great quality and perfect optics!!! I trully recommend this item!! just try it...! great product at a very nice price!!! Congrats Celestron! Thanks.

The Celestron has a very solid well built feel to it. My son and I have been enjoying viewing everything we can find, from hair to bugs. The product arrived in perfect condition and before Christmas as promised.

For Christmas, I bought each pair of grandchildren a 44202 and a 44204. One of the 202's had an inoperative light switch. The replacement process was well handled although I had the hassle of returning (cost prepaid)the original to a UPS house. One of the 204's had a broken mirror which my daughter was going to handle directly through Celestron since they live on the other side of the country from me.

While I'm satisfied with the products, the customer deserves better.
