Half as much as the Olympus one,
At fourthirdsphoto we had a debate about the quality of this product, so I tried it out. It works very well. It is about 1/2 the cost of the Olympus version. Mine works fine, and I have heard of no bad copies in the market. Really I have 0 Complaints about this little remote. I can lock the shutter button down, and half way focuses, so I am very pleased with this remote switch.

Works As Advertised
Received as advertised, worked right out of the box, can't get much better than that.
A lot better than using the 2 second or 12 second timer - however a couple of things to keep in mind (E-500 series only). This switch functions just like the shutter button - you press 1/2 way to focus and then all the way for exposure. Therefore - if you set up the shot using the view-finder or rear display (E-510) then you will need to keep in mind that residual vibration may still be present in the tripod even if you are using this instead of the shutter button for low light photos. The 12 second delay timer was good for giving time for the vibration to dampen out before the shutter fired. You might want to keep that in mind when using this button and make sure that it is fully stable before pushing the button.

MA-J (36 inch) Remote Switch for Olympus SP-560
I was thrilled to find this remote switch for my Olympus SP-560 at about half the cost that Olympus is charging. It works great...push half-way to focus, and push fully to take the picture. Also has a lock on feature for doing things like taking movies.

Essential for time exposures / Handy for tripod use
This remote shutter release works just like the Olympus brand for about half the price. Indispensable for taking rock-steady time exposures while your Olympus digital SLR is on a tripod, just plug it into the camera's USB port, turn on the camera and you can trip the shutter remotely without shaking the camera while doing it. It's also handy when doing studio portrait photography from a tripod.

Flawless!
A solidly built remote trigger for a good price, just be sure to pick the length you need for your usage... This item is essential for low-light, long-shutter-time photos
