Great quality sound!
(5 out of 5) by L. David on Jul 12, 2008 (Ca. United States)I bought this about 6 months ago, and havn't had any regrets. It may be compact, but it gives out great sound. Bass is adjustable. Small enough to put just about anywhere. It will hold an 80gb iPod. When I have bbq's, I just leave in my bedroom and crank it up. It can be heard outside and anywhere else in my home.
The thing I didn't like was the remote. Too small for my taste. But other than that. Its a great little system, big sound when you want it, for a lot less money, than the bigger brand names out there.

A little bassy, but overall pretty good.

My first one died several weeks after I bought it after making a loud screeching sound. It took a while to figure out where to send it back and it took a while for them to process it, but they sent me a replacement that has worked like a champ for over a year.

Well,after purchasing this unit and learning about it's operation,and considering the fact that the name is an old school name,not to mension the fact that Acoustic Research made the first air suspension speakers,I was expecting bigger sound.
However, after considering the design an all and what this unit was built to do, I found that this is a great peace of technology. When played at loud levels it sounds good, the low freq could be better, but what can you expect when the drivers are small? All an all, I gave it five (5) stars, because of the name. Don't let this oppertunity pass you by to have a system that will give you good sound for the money but don't expect it to blow you away,the system is not that large pictures are decieving!!!
