I buy Apple mainly because it is difficult for the criminals to crash them.
I am not very computer literate, so when the system does not operate as it is supposed to, I need help to install something.
I set up the system and gave it a password that I use for everything. Unfortunately, when completing the installation of the printer it would not take my password.
I called Apple and the technician did not know what he was doing. After being on the phone for 45 minutes and getting no where, I terminated the phone call.
I will call out a computer repair person to install the printer, as I am not going to waste my time with Apple again. I never experienced this problem with a Windows system before.
Also, the Dashboard periodically comes on when I attempt to hit the go back or scroll buttons, which is very annoying.

What ? Selling new IMac's with the Old Tiger Operating system and no free upgrade to the Mac OSX Leopard Operating system which will ship in October. Whoa boys...... order this in October , and hope that Apple will have the IMac's in all White by then. This new aluminum look is a disappointment from the Apple Classic White..
Great PC , shipping with an obsolete O/S for now....

Because the HD Radeon 2400 card in this computer cannot be used with certain Aspyr products, many, if not most video games cannot be played on it. My copy of The Sims 2 is now practically unplayable, even though it played just fine on the supposedly less powerful Mac I had before I made the mistake of buying this one. With my new "improved" computer, portions of neighborhoods now vanish into blue squares, furniture, people, and objects vanish on the screen, etc, etc. etc.
According to Aspyr, the most updated version of Civilization, Sim City 4, etc, also cannot be guaranteed with this video card. In fact, the majority of Apsyr games apparently can't guarantee play on this thing.
I've been waiting for a patch to show up to address this issue now for several months from both Aspyr and Apple. Doesn't look like any solution is forthcoming

I write this as I wait endlessly on the phone with Amazon for a 6 week-old problem to be resolved. Three attempts to resolve this thru the website were totally ignored, and this is also my third phone call.
This item was shipped a full month after the Apple iMac Desktop with 20" Display began shipping with the Leopard operating system, but it arrived with the Tiger OS installed instead. When I eventually got through to Amazon support, I was told that the problem was really Apple's [!!], which of course it is not. As I waited 20 minutes on hold during this third call, the outsourced Amazon rep -who sounds very unsure about how to perform his job- has just informed me that all I can do is to return the computer [that I have been using heavily for 6 weeks] for a refund!
Thanks, Amazon, for 6 weeks of ignoring my communications, and way too much unnecessary frustration.

Stylish design, blazingly fast, supperb display and best of all; No windows! Just wish I knew how to use it... Come on! No user manuals or atleast, Quick tips? I hope I'm not the first to get error messages on it. Oh well, it sure is pretty.
