FTA Receiver View Sat Ultra

(5 out of 5) by Stan Skaggs on Nov 16, 2007 (Texas)
This unit is great to see satellite broadcasts from anywhere! I was skeptical of the product, but the unit is updatable via the front USB port by using a thumb drive with no rebooting or anything! Updates are usually availble free every week or two at a time as the codes change forhte unit to function. I have three dishes attached to mine and have had no issues at all. The unit is very simple to setup and program! Up an running in around 30 minutes! No need to pay the satellite companies so much money to receive your signals for you.. do it yourself and save that money! This is a no-brainer, and easy to setup. Makes a great hobby too!

GO for the Conaxsat Duo

(4 out of 5) by Joshua Juskewitch on Oct 31, 2008 (Germany)
I bought this box about a year ago and it was really good but GUI is simplistic but functional. It lacks PVR support which is found in many boxes nowadays. I suggest getting the Conaxsat Duo. Better unit in my book and cheaper too and which is surprise how old this model is now.

Great Product

(5 out of 5) by Lenin A. Castillo on Oct 11, 2008
Still one of the best in the market, what I most like about the product is that it is very user friendly, I have a VS Pro, but I rather stick to viewsat ultra. I heard a better one has come out but I haven't try it yet.

Defective Item

(1 out of 5) by Nelson D. Diaz Inoa on Apr 20, 2008
I bought the Viewsat VS2000 Ultra Free-to-Air Satellite Receiver from Amazon and when I was trying to use it did not work and when protesting to Amazon they told me that it is to HottechDeals that I had to protest against but they don't respond to the emails I sent them. I was told to return the item by mail. So I returned by mail the equipment and I was hoping that they would return my money or that would send me an equipment that works well. But they haven't done any of the two.
