Well Worth It

(5 out of 5) by M. Kleimeyer on Dec 2, 2009
Works great, no problems so far charging phones, mp3 players, etc. The blue power LED can be annoying if it happens to be pointed at you due to where your lighter is located, but a little electrical tape fixes that.

Failed after 6 months continuous use

(3 out of 5) by M. Cox on Aug 28, 2009 (Austin TX USA)
This unit failed after 6 months of 24x7 continuous use. Actually, it seemed to fail after unplugging it for a few days then plugging it back in which was done to check if it may have been draining too much battery due to always being plugged in. It did not produce any static when plugged-in as another reviewer had experienced.

Comes in Handy

(5 out of 5) by Mary Alice Madaris on Aug 13, 2009 (Atlanta, GA USA)
When I went from a Sansa to a Zune, I needed a new FM transmitter because my old one was also a charger and only works with the Sansa-- but then I also needed a way to charge my Zune (since the charger/fm transmitter made by Zune got horrible reviews).

So I bought an awesome Coby CA-745 Wireless FM Car Transmitter with Digital Display and DC Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter, and this usb port. It works great. We used it a lot on a drive from GA to NY and back. Never failed, never overheated and had no issues at all. Really not much to say in the review but that it works exactly as it should :D

The Kensington USB Adaper proved to be very useful for keeping a variety of USB devices charged during long road trips.

Not bad - sticks out a bit too much for me

(4 out of 5) by Paul Sorensen on Sep 27, 2008
I am using this in my car, and was planning to use it with a charger that is located in the center column - but it stuck out a bit too much. So I'm using it in the normal "ash-tray" charger.

As a USB charger it seems to work as advertised.
