Simple install and works like a champ.

I originally had an 8600 GTS EVGA graphics card and did not notice it required at least 400 watts of power until I decided to upgrade to an 8800 GTS and my stock pc power supply only output 300. I'm a relative novice to upgrades so I never even noticed. I never really had a problem with the 8600 but since i was upgrading to a heavy graphics card requiring at least 450, I decided on this little power house.
It outputs 500 watts, more than enough for my needs, it's cheap and had free shipping. I was wary since I'm a novice and not sure if I could install it on my own without screwing something up. The supply comes in a nice black box with clear fans. The install was surprisingly easy. I simple unscrewed the stock power supply moved it to the side while still hooked up and installed the new power supply. I then unhooked the connectors one by one on the old power supply replacing them as I went so that I was sure every connector was placed in the correct slot. The connectors on this power supply are clearly labled with their correct slot already which helps a lot if you are starting from scratch. The cables are packaged nicely into a nice looking insulator which keeps them neet but they were longer than my midtower could comfortably handle. Luckily the extra hardrive bays were free so I just moved them in there.
Finally I powered it up and the neat blue light came on. The two fans on the power supply are surprisingly quiet. I originally hated the idea of having a cheesy looking blue light come out of the power supply but its actually really nice looking and it's not overbearing. It actually made my Viao look nicer. I later installed the 8800 GTS and three weeks later and this power supply still working like a champ.
Pros-Cheap, quiet,two fans, powerful and blue led light is actually cool looking
Cons- cables are slightly long for a mid tower (but it's not a deal breaker)

Quality power supply
