Great info for first time Digital SLR Owner

(5 out of 5) by tall-latte on Mar 28, 2008 (Sammamish, WA USA)
Contrary to the other reviews here, I found this to be very helpful and provide good info. However, I am a first-time Digital SLR owner, not having used an SLR since a film camera many, many years ago. I had forgotten everything taught to me in photography classes many years ago. I received this DVD in a bundle that also included the Nikon D60, which is similarly an excellent product.

VERY. VERY, VERY Basic info!

(1 out of 5) by Francisco Campos on Jan 15, 2008 (Honduras)
I am not a pro nor a beginner photographer. I love taking shots at whatever I think will make a nice picture.

Nikon should give this away or include it with your camera. This DVD contains very basic information like: how to turn on/off your camera, how to focus, a tiny bit of advance settings, etc...

You will get better information on Understanding Digital Photography DVD. I am glad I only paid $5 for it! :-)

Nikon school DVD

The DVD moves too fast for a neophyte using a Digital camera. Probably OK for someone that is more advanced.

Basic Operation Instruction

(3 out of 5) by Nicholas Chill on Nov 14, 2008 (San Diego, CA)
This DVD is a great tool for the common user who desires an introduction into the functions and operation of their Nikon D60. After watching this DVD, you will be confident in your ability to go out and capture memories.

Cons:
- Only the basics
- Not a guide for anyone wishing to do more than just capture memories.

A Bit Disappointing

(2 out of 5) by William Keasling on Feb 18, 2008 (Newport Beach, CA USA)
I thought this would be a good DVD since it was produced by Nikon. Boy, was I surprised. It is for the true beginner in all ways and features entry level DSLR cameras, the D40 and the D40x. Beautiful photography but very little substance.Nikon School Presents: Fast, Fun & Easy Great Digital Pictures Instructional DVD - for Nikon D40 & D40x Digital SLR Cameras
