I did some extensive research and Amazon had the best price at the time. It arrived in 2 days without paying for expedited shipping. It was easy to hook up but the video card on the kids computer does not support wide screen resolution. The result was a distorted image. The recommended setting is 1680 x 1050 pixels. If your video card does not have this setting then don't buy a wide screen. I ended up swapping my monitor for theirs. So I use the BenQ every day and the quality is good. Color reproduction seems fine and it has great brightness and contrast. The wide screen format was nice when I streamed a video from Netflix but otherwise I don't really value this format so much for everyday emailing and web surfing. The only complaint I have about the functionality is that the control buttons are on the side. This would be all right if there were labels on the front surface of the frame but there aren't. I end up having to guess which button does what when I want to adjust the settings. Despite these detractions I would still recommend this for it's quality to someone wanting wide screen.

I think I was the first to purchase and review this - so I was a little nervous. It came in in 2 days (for $10 extra shipping) and the picture is very bright and very clear. Hookup and set-up was basically plug and play - couldn't be happier - and with such a cheap price - its a true bargain!

I am very pleased with the performance and looks of my 20 inch BENQ monitor. I did not expect to get this good of a monitor at the low price I paid for it. I am also very happy with the clarity with 3d graphics.

Pros:great picture, affordable, tilt adjustment, great look and is a quality product

Cons: only comes with vga cable no dvi, no height adjustments

Other thoughts: this is a great monitor and is very affordable, I am very satisfied with this monitor and recommend it to anyone who wants a good monitor for less
